Recent and Archive Programs

Due to the confidential nature of most of our Auto Design Studio programs, we are not able to share photos of the finished vehicles until they are either released by the Auto Manufacturer for production or displayed at auto shows.  However, we will update this page whenever possible to show you what we've been up to.  Here's a small sampling of some of the vehicles built by Prototype Source.

Some prototype vehicles are designed only for consideration to styling review by corporate executives.  The Corvette StingRay III was built with full running gear, was driven, and displayed on the international auto show circuit.  Although not slated for production, several of its features were incorporated into the 1998 model.

The VW Concept I was the hit of the auto show circuit when it was a "Show Car" and, subsequently, so well received that Volkswagen elected to bring it to production as the new Beetle.

The "Kissmobile" was commissioned by Hershey's Chocolate as a vehicle to generate public awareness and support for Hershey's charity partner, "The Children's Miracle Network."

The "Kissmobile" (KM-1) has served its purpose and validated the effectiveness of mobile marketing so well for Hershey that a second "Kissmobile" (KM-2) was commissioned and completed February 1, 1999.

The Planters Division of Nabisco wanted a unique mobile marketing vehicle to identify with their sponsorship of NASCAR.  Prototype Source submitted several design options from which the Mr. Peanut's HOT ROD format was ultimately selected.  It's hard to imagine a more effective and attention getting marketing tool.  Mr. Peanut's HOT ROD hit the highway on February 21, 1999 and can be seen at NASCAR events throughout 1999.
