Promotional Vehicles

Why a promotional vehicle?

Corporate identity and promotional vehicles reach out to customers in a way that no other medium can.   Personal contact of product and the company's identity creates a lasting impression even if it's only passing by on the highway.

Prototype Source's design, engineering, and fabrication experience will provide a vehicle designed to travel thousands of trouble free miles.  All systems are designed and integrated to offer simplicity of operation, ease of maintenance, and comfort for the crew.
What's the first step?

Each vehicle is designed to reflect the uniqueness of its company image and marketing intent.  Prototype Source will provide a comprehensive outline from which features and usage intent are identified by you or your client.  From that outline, and other inputs, cost and time proposals are generated.

Usually, a scale model of the proposed vehicle is created to assist with the overall visual feel and provides an opportunity for all those involved to have an understanding of what the finished product will look like in three dimensions.

How long does it take?

A program for a single, large, and complex vehicle may require as many as 16 weeks.

Concurrently ordered duplicate vehicles add to the build schedule but represent only a fraction of the time required to build the first one.   Fixtures and tooling generated from the first vehicle build are used to create the duplicates faster and at less cost.

Lead times are very critical in that these vehicles sometimes require a bare chassis to be purchased which may require a custom order with an attendant delivery of up to ten or more weeks.  However, most applications benefit from packaging that allows a commercially available chassis that can be delivered in as little as two weeks.   Sufficiently advanced planning is therefore highly recommended.

How much does it cost?

The complexity, size, and numbers of vehicles all figure into the cost.  Each program must be assessed based on its uniqueness and intent.

Once program parameters have been agreed to, the cost and timeline proposals usually require three days to complete.   All costs for labor and materials are itemized in the proposal for your review.
